Is Fortuna Casino safe? Full audit and trust score

Fortuna Casino scores 80 out of 100. It publishes more verifiable information than the average Belgian operator, particularly on withdrawals and personal data handling. What holds it back is not a security problem, but two inconsistencies in its own legal documents and silence on game fairness.

This is the first audit published on this site. It opens the corresponding row in the comparison of licensed Belgian casinos, until now marked as pending.

That is the protocol I apply to every operator, and the other published audits are gathered on the page that brings them together.

How I checked this operator

On 27 August 2026 I consulted the official register of the Belgian Gaming Commission, then five public documents on fortunacasino.be: the terms and conditions, the data protection policy, the cookie policy, the responsible gambling page and the support page.

I did not open an account and did not gamble with real money. Everything you read here can be checked yourself, from the same pages, without registering. The screenshots accompanying this article were taken that day and serve as a record: if the operator amends a page after publication, the earlier state remains documented.

What the official register shows

Fortuna Casino is operated by S.R.L. FORTUNA 2000, registered with the Belgian Crossroads Bank for Enterprises under number 0465.106.684, with its seat at avenue des Croix de Guerre 120, 1120 Brussels.

Its licence B+4910 was decided on 1 July 2025, published two days later, and runs until 20 March 2028. That two-day gap is a useful signal: it indicates a first grant rather than a renewal. Fortuna is therefore a new entrant to the online market, which explains the absence of any complaints history.

In Belgium a B+ licence does not stand alone: it requires a land based anchor, a physical gaming venue already holding a class B licence. Fortuna’s is the Golden Palace Lier venue. That case is nothing unusual: several brands rest on the same venue. Readers comparing Fortuna and Golden Palace in a ranking usually have no idea they share that anchor.

This case is not isolated. Oria also anchors on a Golden Palace venue, and PlayOne on the Versailles Casino, a brand itself among the licensed operators.

Withdrawals, this operator’s strong point

This is where Fortuna clearly stands apart. Where most Belgian sites settle for “fast withdrawals” with no stated commitment, the terms here are written down.

That timeframe places Fortuna mid-range among the operators I have audited. I have gathered each one’s commitments, with their source, in my comparison of stated withdrawal times.

You must have played more than the amount deposited

This is a standard anti money laundering clause, and entirely legitimate: it prevents a gaming account being used as a pass-through. Its practical consequence is rarely explained. Deposit €200 and request a withdrawal without playing, and automatic processing does not apply; your request moves to manual handling.

The service is limited to Belgian bank accounts

A cross-border worker, or a Belgian resident banking elsewhere, has no access to it. They fall back on a standard transfer for which no processing time is stated anywhere. That is this criterion’s main gap: the fallback case, which affects a real share of players, is undocumented.

On deposits, Bancontact is accepted. Paysafecard is not, unlike several other licensed Belgian operators.

Two inconsistencies in the legal documents

These are the findings costing the most points, and each can be verified in minutes.

Two companies declare themselves in the same terms

The preamble states that the site is published by CONCEPT V GAMES S.A., registered under number 0843.578.514, then that fortunacasino.be is operated by S.R.L. FORTUNA 2000, under a different number. The definitions section then treats CONCEPT V GAMES as the site’s publisher.

Both companies share the same address, and the Commission’s register names FORTUNA 2000. Nothing suggests an irregularity: two companies in one group may perfectly well split publishing and operating. But a document that binds the operator towards the player should be unambiguous about who wrote it.

A link to a competitor’s cookie policy

The responsible gambling page contains a link pointing to the cookie policy of oria.be, another licensed Belgian casino. The explanation emerged while auditing Oria: both sites declare the same publisher in their terms, at the same Brussels address, are hosted by the same provider and name the same data protection officer. This is not a copy-paste error but a shared platform. The detail appears in the Oria Casino audit.

Security and data, a well-handled criterion

Fortuna’s data protection policy is among the most complete I have examined on the Belgian market. Several elements go beyond what is usually found.

• The data protection officer is named, with a direct phone number. The European regulation requires publishing their contact details; almost every operator settles for a generic address.
• Full contact details for the Data Protection Authority are provided for lodging a complaint.
• Retention periods are stated in figures, including ten years for identity documents, under the gambling act of 7 May 1999 and anti money laundering legislation.
• Data is hosted in Belgium, with a provider in Baudour, and encrypted.
• The seven rights granted by the regulation are set out article by article.

Two reservations nonetheless. Processors are described by category and never named: one reads “our hosting providers”, “our payment service providers”. And no transfer outside the European Union is mentioned, although the site relies on American services for audience measurement and consent management.

Information about the games

The return-to-player figure is displayed and quantified, game by game, in each title’s information panel. That is a genuine positive, and rarer than you might think: many operators simply refer to “certified games” without ever giving a value.

What I assess here is what Fortuna chooses to make visible. The game suppliers are identifiable, the paytable can be opened, and games are playable in demo mode without creating an account. A player can therefore judge the offer before committing anything to it.

What is missing is a filter by studio with the number of titles, which other operators provide and which makes a catalogue easier to read. That is the only reservation on this criterion.

Responsible gambling, the best-served criterion

Three distinct tools genuinely exist inside the player account, not merely on a display page.

• A break of 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days, activated from the profile and reversible afterwards.
• A six-month self-exclusion, impossible to lift during the period. Returning requires a manual request, the opposite of a simple button.
• Registration with EPIS, explained, with a direct link to the Gaming Commission form. It blocks every operator at once, online and on premises.

The legal cap of €200 per rolling seven-day period is explained rather than merely quoted. The deposit limit mechanism is well designed: a reduction takes effect immediately, an increase waits 72 hours. That asymmetry protects players from a decision made mid-session.

Three support services are listed. The one gap: the page does not explain that exceeding the weekly cap triggers a solvency check with the National Bank’s Central Individual Credit Register. The full framework is set out on my responsible gambling page.

Complaints and support, the weak point

Article 12.4 of the terms describes a two-step procedure: the site’s support first, the Gaming Commission next, with its email and postal address. The clause states that a player may ask for their complaint to be forwarded to the Commission, and that the Commission may request it itself. That is a real safeguard, rarely written down so clearly.

But the Commission is the regulator, not an adjudicator. A player disputing a win will find no commercial arbitration there, and no independent dispute resolution service is named.

Support runs through chat and email. No telephone, and above all no stated hours: nothing indicates whether a reply is possible on a Sunday evening, precisely when payment problems arise.

Who this casino suits, and who it does not

It suits you if you want to know in advance how long a withdrawal takes and what it costs, if you hold a Belgian bank account, and if the displayed return rate matters to your choice.

It does not suit you if your bank is established outside Belgium, since you lose this site’s main advantage. Nor if you pay by Paysafecard. Nor if you need support reachable at known hours or by phone: on that point, several Belgian operators do better.

My verdict

Fortuna Casino is a recent operator that says more than most. Its withdrawal terms are stated in figures where others stay vague, its return rates are visible, its data handling is documented down to the name of its data protection officer. On those points it does better than far more established brands.

What holds it back is not what it does badly, but what it leaves imprecise. Two companies in the same terms, a link to a competitor’s policy, no laboratory named, no processing time for standard transfers. Nothing irregular, but a set of loose ends on pages that carry legal weight.

An operator that publishes its withdrawal caps to the euro can make the effort to proofread its terms. The 22 missing points are recovered mostly with a proofreader, not with a budget.
