The minimum deposit at a Belgian online casino is €5 or €10, depending on the operator. Of the seven I have audited, three accept €5: PlayOne, Golden Palace and Fortuna. The other four start at €10, and none goes any lower.
That entry amount only tells half the story, though. To get your money back, you have to reach the minimum withdrawal, which is rarely shown next to the deposit. At two of the three €5 casinos, it rises to €15. To a foreign bank, Fortuna asks for as much as €50.
To pin down these amounts, I read the contracts and help pages of all seven operators in October 2026. The minimum withdrawal appears in them; the minimum deposit only in four of the contracts. For the rest, and to check that the cashier follows the contract, I set the figures against two surveys published for the Belgian market. I do not open test accounts: I stick to written commitments, as my way of examining an operator requires, and the amount shown by the cashier is the one that counts when you deposit.
The minimum deposit at the Belgian online casinos I audited
The ranking follows the entry amount first, then the exit amount: for an equal deposit, the casino that hands the money back at the same threshold comes first. Each block names the payment method concerned and the document the figure comes from.

Its FAQ sets the minimum deposit at €5 for each payment method, and its terms put the minimum withdrawal at the same level. None of the other six accepts €5 both ways.
Worth knowing: every deposit must be staked once before a withdrawal, and PlayOne reserves the right to keep 15% of a deposit taken back out without being played.

Deposits start at €5 with the usual methods and at €10 through PayPal, an exception its terms spell out. Taking money out, on the other hand, requires €15, whether the account is Belgian or not.
Worth knowing: under its terms, a deposit made with no intention to play can see its withdrawal refused.

Five euros is enough by Bancontact, a Visa or Mastercard debit card and Instant Deposit, its direct payment from a Belgian bank. To get the money back, its terms ask for €15 to a Belgian account and €50 to a foreign one.
Worth knowing: its terms still mention a legal limit of €500 a week, whereas it has been €200 since October 2022.

Ten euros to get in, ten euros for a withdrawal. PayPal, Paysafecard and Neosurf are among the methods that work from that amount.
Worth knowing: if Ladbrokes considers a deposit has not been played enough, its terms allow it to cancel the deposit and keep the related costs.

The cashier asks for €10, PayPal included. Its contract, dated March 2023, nevertheless states €5, and €15 via PayPal. The minimum withdrawal there is €15.
Worth knowing: when you deposit, the cashier’s amount applies, not the contract’s.

70score /100What its documents saySource: Madison site and terms, arts 7.2 and 7.3
Ten euros to deposit. For a withdrawal, the article on its site about instant payouts states €20, while its terms say €10 (article 7.2). I use the less favourable figure here.
Worth knowing: article 7.3 requires the whole deposit to be wagered before you can withdraw.
Only the PlayOne, Fortuna, Oria and Ladbrokes buttons are commercial links: an account opened through one of them earns me a commission. It plays no part in the order, which rests on the amounts, nor in the caveats attached to each block. The buttons for Golden Palace, BeCasino and Madison simply lead to their sites, with no commercial arrangement behind them.
The lowest minimum deposit: three casinos at €5
Three of the seven operators accept €5, but not on the same terms.
PlayOne is the simplest case. Its FAQ gives €5 for every payment method, Paysafecard and Apple Pay included, and article 11.3 of its terms sets the minimum withdrawal at the same amount. One nuance: the payment timeframes set out further on in that text only apply from €10.
Golden Palace accepts €5 with its usual methods, but €10 through PayPal. Fortuna goes down to €5 across four channels: Bancontact, Visa and Mastercard debit cards, and Instant Deposit, an immediate transfer from a Belgian account.
Other brands on the Belgian market also accept €5, sometimes with a single payment method. I have not audited them, so they have no place in this ranking.
Deposit €5 but withdraw only from €15
Payment pages put the minimum deposit front and centre. The minimum withdrawal is tucked away in the terms, under the article on paying money in and out. Yet it is the gap between those two thresholds that decides the fate of a small deposit.

Fortuna even requires €50 to a foreign account. Oria matches the €15, Madison states €20, while PlayOne, BeCasino and Ladbrokes keep the same threshold both ways.
Deposited money must also be played before it can leave, and none of the seven contracts overlooks the point. PlayOne and BeCasino require it to be staked at least once, Madison for it to be played in full. Fortuna, Golden Palace and Oria may refuse to pay out a deposit made with no intention to play, and Ladbrokes may cancel a deposit it judges under-played.
Four of them also reserve the right to charge fees on a round trip with no stake: 15% at PlayOne, 50% at Fortuna, Golden Palace and Oria. Once the threshold is reached and the deposit played, the only question left is how long the payment takes, and I have compared which Belgian casinos pay out by instant bank transfer.
A €5 deposit and three possible outcomes
Take a first deposit of €5, played in full as the contracts require. Three situations can follow, and in the second one the minimum withdrawal changes everything.
The balance drops to zero. There is nothing to withdraw, whichever casino you chose. The minimum deposit simply let you try the site, which is exactly what it is for.
The balance climbs to €12. At PlayOne, those €12 can leave straight away, since the threshold there is €5. At Golden Palace and Fortuna, they stay stuck below €15: you have to keep playing or deposit again. A balance held up like this does not vanish, but in time it falls under the inactivity rules, and I have set out what each casino does with an inactive account.
The balance reaches €18. You can withdraw wherever the deposit was €5, except at Fortuna if your bank account is held abroad. With a first deposit of €10, the logic is the same: a €10 balance is enough at Ladbrokes and BeCasino, Oria needs €15 and Madison €20.
When two documents from the same casino disagree
At three operators, the documents do not give the same amount.
Oria: the cashier asks for €10, PayPal included. Its terms, dated March 2023, nonetheless set the minimum deposit at €5, and at €15 via PayPal.
Madison: a text on its site about instant payouts puts the minimum at €20, while article 7.2 of its terms sticks to €10. Neither refers to the other.
Fortuna: its terms repeat a legal limit of €500 in deposits per week. It has stood at €200 since 20 October 2022, and that is the ceiling that applies.
In the ranking, I always take the figure least favourable to the player. When you deposit, the cashier has the final say: the amount in the entry field is the only one that binds you.
A €10 minimum deposit is still the norm
Four of the seven operators start at €10: Ladbrokes, BeCasino, Oria and Madison. In the two market surveys I consulted, it is also by far the most common threshold.
Ladbrokes and BeCasino keep things consistent: €10 to deposit, €10 to withdraw. A €10 balance can therefore leave untouched, once the deposit has been played.
If you plan to deposit €20 or €50, the gap between €5 and €10 no longer matters. Choose instead on the operator’s soundness, its licence and its payment commitments, the criteria behind the most trusted online casinos in Belgium.
No Belgian online casino with a €1 minimum deposit
The question comes up often, and the answer is no. None of the seven operators goes below €5, and the two market surveys I consulted find none lower either.
A site that takes €1 or €2 is targeting Belgian players without holding a Belgian licence. The number in its footer may be genuine: often it belongs to an international casino site licensed abroad, with no legal standing in Belgium.
Do not count on a first-deposit bonus either, not even for €10. No licensed casino has been allowed to offer one since March 2020, and I have explained why Belgian casinos offer no welcome bonus.
Identity checks come before your first minimum deposit
Since 1 May 2025, a licensed casino must verify your identity before your first deposit, even one of €5. Depending on the method you choose, it takes anything from a few seconds to a day.
An anonymous trial deposit therefore no longer exists on the legal market. The steps of account verification at a Belgian casino, and what they change for older accounts, are covered separately.
Minimum deposit by payment method
The minimum depends as much on the payment method as on the casino. So pick the method first, then the amount.
- Bancontact: €5 at PlayOne, Golden Palace and Fortuna, €10 at the other four.
- Paysafecard: €5 at PlayOne and Golden Palace, €10 at Oria, BeCasino, Madison and Ladbrokes. Fortuna accepts it too, and its terms set no minimum other than €5.
- PayPal: €10 at Golden Palace, Oria and Ladbrokes. Oria’s terms still mention €15.
- Direct from your bank: €5 at Fortuna with Instant Deposit, at PlayOne and Golden Palace with Rapid Transfer, €10 at Oria.
- E-wallets and others: Skrill and Neteller from €5 at PlayOne and Golden Palace, €10 at Oria, Neteller alone at €10 at Ladbrokes; Apple Pay at €5 at PlayOne, Payconiq at €10 at Madison.
As for cards, PlayOne, Fortuna and BeCasino list debit cards, and BeCasino expressly excludes credit cards in its terms.
This list does not say which methods can also be used to get paid. For that, see the page on paying a casino by Paysafecard or Bancontact, and what each method allows when you withdraw.
Four habits before making a minimum deposit
Check the minimum withdrawal first. A €5 deposit loses much of its appeal if the casino asks for €15 before paying you. The ranking at the top of the page shows both amounts side by side.
Get your account verified before you want to deposit. Without verification, the cashier stays closed. With itsme, the step takes a moment.
Deposit with a payment method in your own name. Ladbrokes bans third-party payment methods, and BeCasino only pays winnings into a bank account in the account holder’s name.
Set your own ceiling. If you only want to try, lower your limit in the player area: a reduction applies at once, while an increase waits for the green light from the regulator, the Gaming Commission. Every deposit, even the smallest, counts towards the weekly deposit limit for online casinos in Belgium, set at €200 per week and per site.
Frequently asked questions
Can I withdraw a €5 deposit without playing?
In practice, no. All seven contracts cover this case: at least one stake at PlayOne and BeCasino, the full amount at Madison and, at the others, a withdrawal that can be refused or a deposit that can be cancelled. PlayOne, Fortuna, Golden Palace and Oria also reserve the right to keep a fee.
What if my balance stays below the minimum withdrawal?
Play it or top it up. The money stays in the account while it is active, but nothing can leave before the threshold. After a long period of inactivity, most contracts provide for closure, with very different consequences for that balance.
Does the minimum withdrawal apply per request or to the whole balance?
Per request. The threshold applies to each withdrawal, not to your balance. BeCasino says so itself: you do not have to take everything out, as long as each withdrawal reaches €10. A €25 balance can therefore leave in one go or in two.
Does the minimum withdrawal change if my bank is not Belgian?
At Fortuna, yes. The threshold rises from €15 for a Belgian account to €50 for an account held abroad. Golden Palace and Oria keep to €15 in both cases.
Which withdrawal minimum applies at Madison, €10 or €20?
Plan on €20. That is the amount its site states for instant payouts. Its terms say €10, but when two documents differ, it is safer to start from the higher one.
Can a casino change its minimum deposit?
Yes, without notice. The amounts on this page date from October 2026. The figure that matters to you is the one the cashier shows when you choose your payment method.
